Colección: Obsidian

Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass formed when lava cools rapidly without crystallizing. It is typically black, but can also appear in shades of brown, red, green, or even have a golden or rainbow sheen due to mineral inclusions. Obsidian has a smooth, glassy texture and was historically used for making tools, weapons, and ornaments due to its sharp edges when fractured.

Major sources of obsidian include Mexico, the United States (Oregon, California), Iceland, Italy, Japan, and Turkey. It is commonly found in regions with past volcanic activity.
